Summit Shift works with founders and leadership teams to diagnose what is holding the organisation back, then build the capability, structure and leadership needed to grow, without losing what made the business work in the first place.
Most organisational development consulting is designed for large enterprises: long engagements, big teams, budgets that only make sense at scale. Smaller businesses run into many of the same problems as they grow: structure that hasn't kept pace, leadership stretched thin, culture under strain during a transition, but without the same access to that expertise.
Summit Shift brings the same discipline: structured diagnosis, evidence-based intervention design and coaching-led implementation, scoped and priced for organisations that do not have an internal OD or HR team to lean on.
Six ways of working, drawn on individually or combined into a programme scoped to where your organisation is right now.
A structured, Action Research-based assessment of how the organisation is really working, surfacing root causes rather than symptoms, and building a shared, evidence-based case for what to change.
Leadership journeys, coaching-embedded programmes and succession-focused development, designed for the people driving your business through its next stage of growth.
Facilitation and process consultation on group dynamics, communication and conflict, so teams navigate change and build their own capacity to solve problems.
Support through restructuring, scale-up or M&A activity, informed by direct experience of two acquisitions of startups into larger organisations.
Practical, values-led AI adoption for leadership teams and staff: how to delegate, describe, discern and use AI tools with diligence, without losing sight of the business's mission.
One-to-one, ICF PCC-accredited coaching for founders and senior leaders navigating growth, a transition, or a change in role.
Diagnosis draws on the Action Research model: structured data gathering and stakeholder involvement before any change is designed, so recommendations are grounded in what is actually happening rather than a generic playbook.
Change holds when the people living it help shape it. A coaching stance sits behind every engagement rather than a purely directive one: Tom is an ICF PCC-accredited coach with ten years' practice, and Sarah holds a CIPD-accredited Executive Coaching qualification alongside her background leading global L&D functions.
Engagements are scoped for businesses without an internal OD or HR function: fewer sessions, sharper focus, and practical tools the team can keep using once the engagement ends.
For leadership teams who want to think differently, some sessions can run outdoors in the mountains above Chamonix, facilitated under French and UK mountain leadership qualifications. Optional, and never assumed.
If you're weighing up whether to get in touch, here's roughly what to expect.
Engagements typically start with a short, no-obligation diagnostic conversation, to understand what's going on before anything is proposed.
Most engagements run three to twelve months, though shorter feasibility studies are also available if that's a better way to get going.
Typically €3,000 to €15,000, depending on scope, agreed upfront before any work begins.
Tom spent fifteen years in telecoms after training as an engineer, spanning startups and large multinationals and including two acquisitions of startups into larger organisations. The last five of those years were spent leading global solution consulting teams across Europe, the US, India, South-East Asia and Japan.
That is paired with a Master's in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, an MSc in Psychology, and a postgraduate diploma in Behaviour Change and Wellbeing, alongside ten years' practice as an ICF PCC-accredited coach. Organisational Development training through the Institute of Organization Development, AIHR certifications, and AI Fluency training through Anthropic's Academy sit alongside that experience. He is also a certified International Mountain Leader (accompagnateur en moyenne montagne), based in Chamonix, Haute-Savoie, France.
Sarah is a CIPD-accredited Executive Coach with an MBA from the University of Bradford, who spent over a decade in global Learning & Development leadership roles inside large, matrix organisations, including building and running Alliance Boots' Learning & Development Centre and leading HR special projects across thirteen countries.
Since 2015 she has worked independently, designing and delivering leadership and professional development programmes for client organisations, with particular depth in evaluation frameworks, stakeholder governance, and bilingual, cross-cultural delivery in French and Spanish.
